Post-Pregnancy Weight Loss: Wks 8-9

These past two weeks of my weight loss challenge have been focused on discipline. I find that you can have the best strategies and techniques, the best tools and resources, the best diet, but it all means nothing if you are not disciplined to use and apply them. It means nothing if you are not disciplined to get up and do what you need to do to lose weight. My weight loss through this journey has been very slow and that is all because I have not been as disciplined as I should.

Discipline means to train in order to correct a behavior. The behaviors needing correcting: not working out like I should. Not drinking water like I should. The goal behaviors: work out 4-5 days per week. Drink at least a liter of water every single day.

Instead of doing a punishment, I will do a positive reinforcement (which will still result in a punishment if not done). Each day that I work out or drink at least a liter of water, I will be able to treat myself. For the remainder of my weight loss challenge, I will follow this disciplining plan. My goal by the end of week 11 is to be 140 pounds and 30 inches in the waist. I’m sure if I will meet this goal in this next two weeks, but I want to be close!

Goals for Week 10:

-full-body workouts 4-5 times/week

-Lose 3 pounds

-Focus on abs, lose an inch

-Drink one 33oz bottle of SmartWater/day

*Walking 2 miles 1-2 times/week (some jogging)

*Tae Bo 4-5 times/week (I love Tae Bo! It’s active, motivating, and TOUGH!!!

*Keaira Lashae 4-5 times/week (alternate with Tae Bo)

*NEW- Xbox Kinect Sports

*Pinterest Workout

My Meal Plan

-Breakfast (chocolate banana smoothie & granola bar OR toast/scrambled eggs)

-Lunch (turkey sandwich or leftovers)
